Edna Meyer-Nelson is President of Richland Investments, Inc., Richland Management, Inc., and Richland Commercial Mortgage. Richland Investments, Inc. owns and operates retail shopping centers, office buildings, industrial parks and office/flex parks. Currently Richland has over 3½ million square feet under roof and a total of 25 to 30 properties at any given time. Meyer-Nelson started the company in 1993 after being a banker in Houston for 20 years.
A native Houstonian, she has always believed in giving to the community. She serves on the Board of Houston Children’s Charity where she is also President. She is on the Board of the American Festival for the Arts, a charter-member of BRASS, a member of the Cooley-Circle, a member of American Businesswomen’s Association and Publisher of the Houston Celebrity Cookbook.
For the last two years she has been a Recipient of the Top 50 Women Owned Businesses in Houston, Recipient of Houston Small Business 100 in Growth, Houston Cherished Companion recipient, Finalist for Woman Business Owner of the Year, Finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year, Who’s Who of the Southwest and Who’s Who Honored Professional Woman.
